Cannes World Film Festival to screen ‘The Bench’

Iranian short flick ‘The Bench’ has made its way to the Cannes World Film Festival in France.

Iranian media outlets reported on Wednesday that ‘The Bench’ will be screened at the first edition of the Cannes World Film Festival next month.

The short film tells the story of a boy who wants to express his love to his beloved girl for the first time.

Directed by Milad Ahmadvand, the film is starring Sahabanou Zolqadr and Milad Qanbari.

The Cannes World Film Festival is an IMDb Qualifying monthly & annual competition of all genres for international filmmakers, dedicated to feature films, short films, documentaries, experimental films, animations, music videos, commercials, TV/Web series and many more, according to the event’s website.

It aims to highlight a new generation of emerging talents and a new wave of filmmakers.

The 1st edition of the festival is scheduled for May 7.
